Hi, I’m Paul Jenkins I really want you to feel at home here on this site.
Whether you are interested in using internet phones;
- for travel,
- to replace a home line,
- to add a business number,
- to add an additional secret number,
- for cheap or free long distance,
- or increasingly using them on your smartphone for any of the above,
you’re in the right place.
Please explore all the resources here, and if you’re left with any questions, please please ask questions. I truly want this to be the best resource for choosing and setting up internet phones and I want to get your feedback on how to make it better.
The scope of this site is aimed at people that want to add on or two lines to their home or home office. Although multiple business line solutions are basically the same, I’ve excluded them to try to keep you from hitting the overwhelm button. If there is enough demand, I’ll create a sister site. I am presently working on a review for Phone.com (for this site) which straddles both the home and small business user and they have some pretty cool technology so I have decided to include them.
This website is supported in a number of ways – through donations and affiliate links, and my own books (and video course to come) available to purchase. We’ve really tried hard not to let affiliate links influence us in any way about the rankings and reviews we give these various products.
There are little stars (*) beside every product or service that is an affiliate link for two reasons.
One is to be completely upfront about the fact that we get something out of it – which enables us to devote more time and energy to this website to answer questions, and stay on top of a quickly changing marketplace.

The world of internet phones has come a long way in recent years and every month something like 500,000 Americans are switching over their home phones to internet phones. There are so many options to choose from and most of the information is hidden from the consumer where eventually most consumers make a wag – a wild guess and then hope they’ve done alright.
